The Queen has requested all attendees bring their favorite scroll for display at the event.  This is to acknowledge all the efforts of our Kingdom's scribes.

Fashion Show: A Rosy Runway

The Roses of Atlantia are hosting a Twelfth Night fashion show and everyone is invited to participate.

In sticking with our theme, the sillier the better!

Be big! Be bold! Be memorable! Strut your stuff to roaring applause.  No preparation needed, just show up and be beautiful.

Our MC who will announce you like the Paris model you are will be Master Paganus Akritas. Werk.

Be a Winter Spirit

All attendees are asked to dress as their favorite winter spirit. Traditions of dressing in disguise and visiting home is practiced throughout cultures during the winter season. Costumes from around the world are found made from bear hides, goat skins, wheat sheaves, tree bark and animal skulls.

12th NIGHT SCRIBAL TRADING CARDS! (+ gift for participants)

For any scribal experience may participate, any age, skill level, or ability.

1)  Make and bring a minimum of 5 Small Scribal pieces for FUN that are NOT scrolls per se, NOT awards, the size of a baseball card or business card.
Could be a marginalia beastie, a favorite word calligraphed with border, a style or technique you want to play with. Think a small work of art.
Put your SCA name and title on the back along with your home group and the date. If you wish the source of your inspo.
Then what?
2)  Take them to 12th night to trade with other scribes!
So you could potentially take home 5 (or more depending on how many participate, or that you make to trade), scribal trading cards. I have window sills I would LOVE to decorate with a collection of miniature works of others, as well as share my own work with those who may want it.
Again this is all optional, open to anyone, not a contest, just a fun thing to share across the day at 12th night!

Bragging Rights Mulled Beverage Contest

We shall hold a mulled beverage contest.  Documentation not necessary, but ingredient information would be courteous to those with allergies who wish to sample.  There shall be prizes and, of course, bragging rights.

There is a non-alcoholic and alcoholic division.

Please bring your best mulled beverage in an insulated jug, carafe or airpot, etc as outlets are a premium on this site.

(Really good gallon insulated metal jugs can be purchased at big box stores.  Such jugs are great to have for other events.)

Swap a gift

Did you receive something during the holidays you don't want?  Someone else is sure to appreciate it!

Bring a gift to leave at the Gift Swapping Tree.  Leave a gift. Take a gift.

Give largesse

'Tis the season of gift giving.  Bring largesse and give to those at the event who make you smile, feel welcome, have gorgeous garb or just because.

Largesse can be anything:  chocolates, cookies, soaps are only a few possibilities.
