The Venue
Maola at Riverside is a multi-building venue on the north side of downtown New Bern, within walking distance of the waterfront and historic district. The site offers indoor space for court, feast, and classes; a flat grass list field for the pas d’armes; paved, wheelchair-friendly parking; and on-site tent camping and RV boondocking.
Accessibility
The site is ADA compliant for all buildings except the Royal Room. Restrooms in the main buildings are either ground-level or have a ramp to the entrance. The list field is on flat grass. Parking is paved. If you have specific accommodation needs, email annabellaofthebay@gmail.com before the event.
Parking
Free on-site parking is available. Lots are paved and wheelchair-friendly.
Site Rules
- Service animals only. No other animals permitted.
- Only site-provided fire pits may be used.
- The site is wet; a cash bar is available on site.
Directions
From I-42 (US-70), East or West
- Take the Trent Woods / Pembroke Road exit.
- At the stop light, turn left onto NC-55W.
- After half a mile, turn right onto Queen Street.
- Travel one mile, then turn left onto N Craven Street.
- The destination is on your right after seven-tenths of a mile.
From Hwy 17, North or South
- Take the Downtown New Bern exit.
- Turn right toward New Bern.
- At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Front Street.
- Turn left on Queen Street, then immediate right onto N Craven Street.
- The destination is on your right after seven-tenths of a mile.

Hotel block details will be posted here once confirmed. In the meantime, downtown New Bern has multiple hotels within a short drive of the venue.
Camping on Site
On-site tent camping and RV boondocking are available at the $5 camping rate. Please note that RVs must boondock; there are no hookups. Indicate your camping preference when you register. Sunday, January 10, is pack-out day for campers.
Trolley Service
A trolley will run between the hotel block and the venue on Saturday. Schedule and pickup points will be posted here once confirmed.
