The Short Answers

The short answers to the questions we hear most often. If your question is not here, email annabellaofthebay@gmail.com.

About the Event

Is this my first SCA event? Should I come?

Yes. Twelfth Night has been built with newcomers in mind. See the Newcomers page for a full walkthrough of what to expect.

Do I need to be an SCA member?

No. Non-members are welcome. Non-members pay a $10 higher registration fee. If you attend multiple events a year, becoming an SCA member (through sca.org) will usually pay for itself.

Do I need to wear garb?

Yes. Garb (medieval or Renaissance clothing) is required at Twelfth Night. A simple T-tunic with pants or a long skirt is sufficient. Gold Key loaner garb will be available on site, or you can reach out to the Event Steward before the event to arrange something in advance. We are also running garb-sewing classes (in person and online) in the months leading up to the event. See the Newcomers page for full details.

Is this family friendly?

Yes. Children 0 to 5 attend free. Youth 6 to 17 register at a reduced rate. The event is appropriate for all ages.

Registration & Payment

How do I register?

Pre-register through SCORES on atlantia.sca.org. On-site registration is available at Gate (cash or check only).

When does registration close?

TBA: Insert pre-registration close date once confirmed with Mistress Adair.

Pre-registration closes [TBA]. On-site registration is available at Gate subject to feast capacity.

Can I get a refund?

Feast refunds are only available if your seat is resold. Other refunds are at the discretion of the Exchequer. See the Registration page for full policy.

On Site

What are Gate hours?

Friday: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Saturday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Is there parking?

Yes. Free on-site parking. Paved and wheelchair-friendly.

Is the site accessible?

The site is ADA compliant for all buildings except the Royal Room. See the Plan Your Visit page for full accessibility details.

Can I bring my dog?

Only service animals are allowed on site.

Is there a bar?

Yes. The site is wet. A cash bar will be available on site.

Feast

Do I have to go to the feast?

No. Feast is an optional add-on. Many attendees come day-trip only.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Indicate accommodations when you register and follow up with the Feast Steward to confirm. The kitchen accommodates restrictions where possible.

Is feast going to sell out?

Possibly. Feast is capped at 300. If you plan to feast, register early.

What is feast gear and do I need it?

Feast gear is the plate, bowl, cup, and utensils you bring to the feast table. The SCA tradition is “bring your own” rather than disposable. If you do not have feast gear, reach out. We can usually connect you with someone who can lend.

The App

Is there an event app?

Yes. A free web app with the schedule, venue guide, and event info is available at https://12thnight2027.netlify.app/. It works offline once opened. Nothing to install from an app store.

Do I need to use the app?

No. The app is a convenience, not a requirement. All the same information will be available on this website and in printed programs at Gate.
